The 30 Hour Famine will be happening at Ames on February 22nd. It will feature the youth going more than 30 hours straight without eating any food. The goals for the event are to help us understand what it’s like to be hungry, to raise awareness of the problem of hunger, and to raise money to feed hungry people. The youth are requesting pop can donations for us to de-posit. The youth will also be going to neighborhoods requesting pop cans and delivering an evangelistic message. The proceeds will be split in half between the Saginaw City Rescue Mission and World Vision. For just $1, we can feed a hungry person for an entire day!
The youth will also be sponsoring a PANCAKE BREAKFAST DURING SUNDAY SCHOOL (10-11 A.M.) ON FEBRU-ARY 23. There will be an opportunity to give a free will donation for this breakfast. Even if you aren’t in a position to donate, please come join in on the time together. The food will be delicious!
