Does that put you  into a panic?  I know it does me!  Yet imagine what it would feel like if you knew you had no possibility of buying gifts for your children… Ames will be helping families that may be struggling this Christmas.  This year, the Holiday Wish List is no longer sponsoring families in need.  The Local Missions Team has decided to concentrate on helping Ames families this year and possibly some additional area families. A “Giving Tree” will magically appear in the upper lobby on Sunday, November 16. There will be tags that describe a gift for a recipient.  Each child will have 2 tags–one for a toy and one for clothing.  Take a tag and shop for the individual, wrap and return the gift by Dec. 14 and place it under the tree.  We will also be collecting household items for each family. These items are often expensive and hard to purchase if you are on a limited income. Use your coupons and purchase these items as you see them on sale: toilet paper, paper towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, etc. Please bring items and place them in the box in the upper lobby and we will assemble a box of household items for each family. We will also be collecting adult and children’s coats (gently used or new) for these families, if needed.

Application forms will be available in the upper lobby if you would like to be included as a recipient. See Susan Martinez(989-401-1911) or Kaycee Clark for any questions.
